Croatian Limestone for façades, floors and pools
Calm, durable, architectural.
Croatian limestone is a natural limestone from Croatia with a fine, uniform grain in pale beige, cream and mineral grey.
SUNMINERALS supplies it as blocks, slabs, tiles and cut-to-size pieces, with samples and a Technical Data Sheet on request. The showroom is in Business Bay, Dubai.

The character of Croatian Limestone
The calmest of the three, for buildings where the architecture carries the drama and the stone holds the light.
The grain of Croatian limestone is fine and consistent from one block to the next. Across a long façade or an unbroken floor it keeps to one restrained register, from pale beige through cream to mineral grey, with no visual noise to distract from the form of the building.
It is also kind to light. A honed surface gives back a soft, matte reflection that changes through the day and never glares.
Blocks are selected and sorted for continuity, so the same stone can run from the paving to the parapet on one specification: façades, paving, floors, wall cladding, stairs and bespoke pieces. The same care applies whether the order is a whole residence or a single bathroom.

What is Croatian limestone?
Croatian limestone is a natural limestone from Croatia with a fine, uniform grain in a restrained palette of pale beige, cream and mineral grey. It is durable and consistent from one block to the next, and it suits contemporary and traditional buildings alike.
What is Croatian limestone used for in architecture?
Croatian limestone is supplied for exterior and interior walls, floors, stairs and window sills, monuments and pool capping. Blocks are selected and sorted for continuity, so the same stone can run from the paving to the parapet on one specification, across a façade, a terrace, a bathroom or a kitchen.
Is Croatian limestone suitable for pools?
Pool capping is one of its standard applications. At the waterline the finish is chosen for grip rather than shine: bushhammered and sandblasted surfaces keep their footing when wet, and limestone holds its warmth underfoot in full sun. Slip resistance is covered by the Technical Data Sheet.
What finishes are available for Croatian limestone?
The sheen is honed or polished, and the texture can be sandblasted, bushhammered, brushed, sawn cut, aged or tumbled. The finishing vocabulary includes honed, aged, polished, sawn cut, rockfaced, sandblasted, bushhammered and tumbled.
Across the collection there are more than 60 finishes, so the surface is chosen for the room, the light and the way it will be used.
What are the technical values of Croatian limestone?
The laboratory values for Croatian limestone are issued in its Technical Data Sheet, available on request and presented according to the relevant European EN standards. The sheet covers density, water absorption, compressive strength, flexural strength, abrasion resistance, frost resistance and slip resistance.
Which formats and thicknesses is Croatian limestone supplied in?
Croatian limestone is supplied as blocks, slabs, tiles and cut-to-size pieces. Standard slab thicknesses are 2 cm and 3 cm, and thicker formats from 4 cm to 12 cm are cut for the project.
Final slab dimensions depend on the selected block. The approximate maximum block processing size is 3.0 × 2.0 × 2.0 m.
What is the minimum order for Croatian limestone?
Orders can begin from one slab, subject to material availability. If the selected material is in factory inventory, shipment can be arranged promptly.
When blocks must be sourced, the programme is confirmed after material, volume, processing and finish requirements have been reviewed. The lead time is confirmed for each specification.
Can I see a sample of Croatian limestone before ordering?
Yes. Ask for a sample of Croatian limestone in the finish you have in mind. Before production begins, you approve the selected material, finish and appearance. Production then follows those agreed specifications, with blocks and slabs selected and sorted to support consistency.
How is Croatian limestone shipped to Dubai and the rest of the UAE?
SUNMINERALS coordinates final inspection, protective packing and international shipment according to the order and destination. Documentation, shipment planning and delivery schedules are coordinated as part of the order process.
The Port of Thessaloniki in Greece is the primary export gateway for international deliveries. Tell us the destination when you enquire, and the shipment is planned for it.
